Well the 50th Anniversary of the Ridler show is over. What a great show. The talent that was there was amazing, everyone stepped up. The competition was tough, some of the best builders in the country brought their newest builds to show case. Glad to see RPM's '54 Buick & Classic Restorations '34 Ford completed and at the event. In the Great 8 our top picks were all great builders and supporters of our company; Greening Auto Company's '65 Corvette, Rad Rides by Troy's '56 Buick "Nailed" and CAL Automotive Creations '40 Ford "Checkered Past. It was a tight running, but at the end the winner was the 1940 Ford "Checkered Past" built by CAL, Andy Leach and the amazing team that he put together. We couldn't be happier. We are very proud of Andy and the team.
Congratulations to CAL Automotive Creations. Andy Leach teamed up with some of the best in the country to bring Ron & Deb Cizek's 1940 Ford "Checkered Past" to reality. This car is over the top. Attention to detail everywhere. You have to really study this car to appreciate all of the hard work and craftsmanship. We are truly blessed to of been selected to supply and machine so many exciting parts on this amazing car! Bowler was proud to bring many of Andy Leach's, Bob Thrash & Jason Wunderlich's ideas and concepts to reality. Special thanks to our own Jonathan Vennard for the CNC machine work that was done for this amazing car. We are so thankful for the opportunity to be part of the "Checkered Past". Be sure and check out our Checkered Past Album to see to this amazing car. Be sure and like us on Facebook!
The car was equipped with an awesome blown and injected Flat Head, Bowler 6 Speed, Bowler / Phantom Touch-N-Go custom made into a one off billet shift knob, Bowler / Phantom Xylem switches, along with many of the unique one off custom CNC machined parts, too many to list. We are now ready for our next project. Jessi and I had a great time this weekend with all of the great people in Detroit. We are blessed to be in this industry!
